The publications used by the FDA and AAFCO, the two organizations setting dietary recommendations for humans and canines, both clearly state that there is ZERO essential requirement for carbohydrates or fiber.  While both humans and canines CAN eat plants, metabolically they have no NEED for them when proteins and fats are consumed at sufficient levels.

Dr. Shri Drake is a board-licensed acupuncturist, board-certified naturopathic doctor, certified nutritional coach, and a Doctor of Natural Health and Holistic Pet care.
